To facilitate the parades and celebrations marking the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (A80), the Hanoi Police Department has announced an extensive traffic diversion and road closure plan.

August 21 – First full rehearsal: 8:00 p.m.
August 24 – Second full rehearsal: 8:00 p.m.
August 27 – Preliminary review: 8:00 p.m.
August 30 – Final rehearsal: 6:30 a.m.
📌 On August 21, road closures will run from 11:30 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. the following day – over 5 hours longer than the earlier notice (August 13).

🚗 Traffic Regulations
Inside Ring Road 1: All vehicles banned except security vehicles, event service vehicles, buses, official duty vehicles, garbage trucks, and emergency response units.
Between Ring Road 1 and Ring Road 2: Ban on trucks ≥1.5 tons and passenger vehicles with ≥16 seats.
Ring Road 3 (overhead section): Trucks ≥10 tons restricted from entering major interchanges.
⚠️ Closures will be temporary, applying only while official convoys pass through.
📍 Alternative Routes for Interprovincial Traffic
East → South: Thanh Tri Bridge → Ring Road 3 → Cau Gie–Ninh Binh Expressway
East → Northwest: Phu Dong Bridge → Ring Road 3 → Thang Long Bridge → Vo Van Kiet Expressway
North → South: National Highway 2 → Thang Long Bridge → Ring Road 3 → Do Muoi Interchange → Cau Gie–Ninh Binh Expressway
These diversions are designed to minimize congestion and ensure continuity for freight transport, logistics, and long-distance passenger vehicles.
🎖️ Main Event – September 2
The parade at Ba Dinh Square will involve nearly 16,000 participants, including infantry, mechanized units, air and naval forces. Marching formations will feature the Army, Police, and other state forces.
